Trending Stocks

Trending stocks make for profitable trades - "The Trend is Your Friend". dmTrend is based on Welles Wilder's concept of Directional Movement to identify stocks that are entering a new trend or are already in an established trending pattern.

Finding A Trending Stock

 Trending Chart Patterns

1.

In the table below, click on the desired trend you want to trade on from the table below - e.g. "Stocks entering a new uptrend in the Nasdaq 100".

2.

A detailed table will then be displayed detailing all the stocks that match your trending selection.

3.

From the detailed table, use the "trigger" price to initiate a long or short trade. If you are trading long, (i.e. an uptrend), then your entry point would be when the stock trades higher than this "trigger" price. Conversely, if you are trading short, (i.e. a downtrend), then your entry point would be when the stock trades lower than this "trigger" price.

We strongly suggest you read the Detailed trading instructions in order to fully understand and make use of the Directional Movement trending indicators.

Chart patterns are extremely useful in interpreting the ADX, +DI14 and -DI14 indicator values. In a single glance, a chart can bring into focus whether or not a profitable trade can be made given the current trending indicator values.

To help you in the selection process, here are some sample charts that display good trending profiles.
